This piece brightened my day. Along with Malala Yousafzai, Lewis long has been one of my heroes. How nice to read about an effort to honor him which memory of his work is still relatively fresh.
So cool to see that erected there today! I remember in the Confederate Monument was taken down and replaced with a marker talking about it, so now it's really cool to see it come full circle and have the John Lewis statue in its place!
Great first step - a worthy next one would be passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Act into law.
