First, let me apologize for some confusion surrounding my last blog post about Robert Gould Shaw. After publishing the post and sending it out to all of you via email, I went back and decided that it needed to be re-written. Rather than editing and updating the existing post, however, I accidentally deleted it, which means that if you went to comment on it, you ran into a broken link.
