Do you know Raimondo Luraghi? He was an Italian historian and U.S. Civil War pundit, I was wondering if he is known in US scholar circles for his research about the US Civil War. You must take a look at his books if you don't know him, it's worth it.

Never heard of him. I don't believe I have ever seen his books referenced in anything I've read. Thanks.

Kevin, let’s not forget the statue of teenager Barbara Johns will replace the one of Robert E. Lee in Statuary Hall in the US Capitol this spring! Johns led the Moton School student walkout that was eventually part of the Brown v Board decision. https://resources.newamericanhistory.org/school-interrupted

So proud of Virginia! I lived thru that era, my county desegregated peacefully when I was in 7th grade, but I knew about what was happening in Prince Edward county. I highly recommend this book https://www.harpercollins.com/products/something-must-be-done-about-prince-edward-county-kristen-green

Absolutely. Florida recently replaced a statue in Statuary Hall honoring a Confederate general with one that honors Mary McLeod Bethune.
