I’ve mentioned a couple of times over the last few weeks that I wrote more online this year than the past few years combined. I thought I would take a few minutes to share my Top 5 favorite blog posts this year, especially for those of you who are recent subscribers.
Before I do so I want to take one last opportunity to encourage you to become a paid subscriber at a considerable discount. In fact, you have only ONE MORE DAY to take advantage of this sale. Click the button below and you can become a paid subscriber to Civil War Memory for life at 25% off.
Here is what you get:
Ability to post comments after all posts.
Access to the chat room.
Access to the podcast channel for reviews of new history books.
Invitations to take part in office hours, historian interviews, and other video features coming in 2023.
Thanks to all of you who have already made the jump to a paid subscription. This week Substack informed me that Civil War Memory is officially a “Bestseller.” My profile now sports a fancy new orange check mark.
It goes without saying that I couldn’t have done it without you.
Now, on to my Top 5:
The rest of the series on Ken Burns: Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
Thanks to your writing, I am slowly but surely increasing my knowledge of the Civil War and its aftermath. At my age, continually learning new things and reading more is important to keeping the old brain functioning. Also, congratulations on the Best Seller status; orange is a better color than blue. I also can't forget to say thanks for the Otis updates; he is a definite cutie!
Congratulations on achieving Best Seller status!
